New expansion project triples DeepChill production capacity at Blue Ocean Mariculture

A new containerized system with 3 DeepChill® generators will be delivered to Blue Ocean Mariculture farms off the coast of Kona, Hawaii to triple their existing DeepChill® production capacity.

Previously in 2007, Sunwell installed a containerized system at the farm to cool yellowtails upon harvesting. Since then, Blue Ocean Mariculture has significantly increased their production capacity and therefore needed a larger DeepChill® system for cooling fish.

Scheduled to be delivered in September/ October 2021, the new expansion project will provide DC40 (DeepChill® with 40% ice fraction) for fish harvesting operations in order to handle the increased capacity.
